Stage Stars: Their Scarves Were Red 2014

Well what can I say! Yet again another amazing production produced and performed by some amazing, talented people.

Since January, we had been rehearsing so hard to put on this such memorable and important show for the 24th May. This was my first proper Youth Group show and I loved working and performing with a variety of characters. It was also lovely to see the show develop and get better and better every week.

Show week arrived very weekly and once again we were in the theatre rehearsing in costume, using props, lighting and radio mics (they are uncomfortable ha ha) Rehearsals were up and down, some evenings went really well, other times we knew we could have done better and we did lose a few people along the way.

This show was really important to get right because 1) we had done it before and wanted to do it better (definitely of what has been in the news) and 2) it is such an important part of our history and touches many peoples hearts.
We didn't want to be solely just about the 96 people that died, but also celebrating their lives as this year it was 25 years since the disaster happened. When we performed the final two shows many of us were really touched, maybe shed a tear, but we all enjoyed putting on such an incredible show and showing everyone our talents.

I would like to thank Scott Wieprecht, Sophie Elvin, Jess Trevarthen, Joe Pollard, Simon Elvin, Dawn and Derek for helping us put on such an amazing show and just making it happen.

Everyone had an enjoyable week and we can't wait to start rehearsing for our next production.

Here are some pictures of our week:

I hope you enjoyed this post and thanks for reading.

Spring and Summer Lips

I wanted to do something different for this post, even though I know every beauty blogger does these sorts of things.
As a beginner to blogging I thought I would use inspiration and make my own. I've never been for one wearing bright lip colours, but I thought I would give it a go.
Over the last couple of months I have been trying out different lip colours from a few brands, here are some of my favourite:
1. Tanya Burr's Lip gloss collection
2. Rimmel Apocolips
3. Maybelline Colour Sensational Lipsticks

I tried to pick some that may be a bit out of my comfort zone and some that I'm always quite comfortable with wearing (Nudes- everyone loves them)

Here are some swatches of the ones I chose

My favourite for spring/summer is Coral Tonic Maybelline Colour Sensational Lipstick and Summer Pink.

These are really pretty colours and perfect for this season and I cannot wait to start wearing them.
This was a very short post and I hope you liked reading it.
If you would like me to do more of these then please leave any suggestions in the comments.
What are your favourite lipsticks?

Aladdin: Pantomime 2013

Hello everyone,

It feels along time since I've blogged and I feel that I've let down the people who take the time to read what I post, I am always so grateful.
Anyway, enough of the rabbling I must get onto the point of this blog

Pantomime Extravaganza:2013 was my first panto I have done with Stage Stars Theatre Company and I had the time of my life!
We got into the theatre on the 8th December and we had only 3 more rehearsals left to perform 3 shows, 13th December and 14th December. Rehearsals went really well, the costumes were amazing, the set and lighting was great and everyone worked their socks off- quite literally.

Friday came way too quickly and as soon as we knew it we were performing to the first audience- their reaction was amazing. They all laughed at the right places, booed at the right times and everyone put in so much effort- we were all exhausted afterwards.
Saturday was pretty much the same, the audiences loved it and no one wanted the experience to end.

I can honestly say that everyone involved I can count as really good friends forever- as soppy as it sounds I really mean it. Without everyone I wouldn't be who I am, thank you!

Anyway here are some photos of our amazing week!

Thanks for reading, I will see you soon!

Product Empties

Hello everyone,

I've come to the time where I've been trying out a lot of new products and binning things I don't like and repurchasing what I do like. Over the last few months, I have been keeping my empty bottles of skincare, sprays, cleansers and shower stuff. Here I will tell you if I liked the product or not, whether I would repurchase the item and if the product actually does what it says it does. So without wasting anymore time lets get on with it.

Skincare:

1. L'Oreal New Skin Perfection 3 in 1 Purifying Solution:

For a long time I have heard a lot of mixed views about this product, some bloggers liked it others did not and preferred products like Bioderma. I personally really liked it and felt that it took my makeup off and wasn't too harsh on the skin. Therefore, I will be repurchasing it when I get round to it and stop finding other cleansers/ makeup removers to try.

2. Simply Sensitive Gently Refreshing Toner
With this product I was a bit iffy whether to buy it or not because of how cheap it was and it was brand that I had never tried before and whether my skin would respond to it well. I was really disappointed with the product, I did not like it at all. I felt that it didn't do anything for my skin and wiping it on my face was absolutely pointless. In this case I will not be repurchasing.

3. Simple Eye Make-up Remover
I have always liked the brand simple and have tried a variety of their products and have always wanted a decent eye make-up remover, but have never wanted to buy something pricey. So I thought I would give it a go and even though it did what it said it would do, it irritated my eyes and would make them stingy. Even though I loved the product it made my eyes sensitive, so I will not be buying that again. Any suggestions in the comments below of any good eye make-up removers would be grateful.

4. Lancome Hydrating Toner
This was a birthday present and I didn't really want to use it straight away, but because it was new and I'd never tried Lancome before as its more of a luxury brand I gave it a try. At first I wasn't too keen on the product, but after using it a few times I seemed to start to like it. It left my skin feeling soft and it didn't irritate my skin. Because it is out of my budget I won't be repurchasing it in a long time.

5.Lush Tea Tree Toner Water
This was recommended to me buy the lady in the shop and that spritzing this on my face or wiping on a cotton pad will wipe the dirt away on my face. I felt that it did none of that and it actually made my skin worse. It took barely anything off my face and rubbing it on my face irritated it. Therefore, I will not  be repurchasing it even though I may try other lush products.

6. Garnier Daily Energising Gel Wash
I loved this product where it cleansed my face well and soothed my skin erasing blemishes and imperfections. The smell of it was pleasant and was easy on the skin and because my skin is oily it gave my face a fresh feel. After purchasing I have repurchased it many times because it is such a good product and will be doing so in the future.

7. Clean & Clear Dual Action Moisturiser
This moisturiser says that it moisturises and helps prevent spots and blemishes. I felt that it did this well however I didn't feel it prevented spots and blemishes. I didn't like the consistency of it and it felt drying on my skin. Therefore I will not be repurchasing as I have found other moisturisers on the market that I much prefer.

8. Spotless Anti-Blemish Moisturiser
Like I have said before I have always been keen on Simple products and am always willing to try out their new products because of their reviews and it is in my budget. So I decided to try it because it said it has spot fighting ingredients and that its natural, which I'm always keen on. The first couple of times I started using it I was seeing a huge difference in my complexion, it reduced my spots and pimples and cleared uneven skin tone. Not only this, but it made my skin soft skin and mositurised it well. I have not repurchased this moisturiser but instead I have just gone back to the Simple Moisturiser which I am loving at the moment.

9. Witch Hazel Blemish Gel
I was looking for a product that would get rid of individual spots/ blemishes when you put a gel on them and when I was looking this really caught my eyes. I have heard great things from their range so I thought I would give it a go. I thought that it definitely worked instantly however I didn't feel that it cooled my skin, but did the opposite and irritated it because of the alcohol/ witch hazel in the product. Also in the morning when I work up I felt my skin was dry and irritated because of it. Therefore, I will not be repurchasing it ever, but if anyone has any suggestions please write them in the comments box.

Hair Care:

10. Alberto Balsam Herbal Shampoo

I have always been using Alberto Balsam hair products for a while because of the cheap price and I love all the different scents. My favourite scent is Sun Kissed Raspberry. It added moisturiser to my dry hair and didn't make my hair greasy like some other shampoo's. I love this product so much I will always go back to this shampoo and keep repurchasing it.

11. Tresemme Deep Cleansing Shampoo
Tresemme has always been a luxury product for me, but it was on special offer for a huge bottle so I decided to give it a whirl and I absolutely fell in love straight away after one wash. It does what it says on the bottle " Cleanse and Replenish" and this what I love that it cleans your hair and doesn't leave it sticky and there's a clear feel of no product left over in your hair. Whenever I feel like buying a luxury hair product I will be going back to this shampoo and may even try something different in their range.

There you go folks just a few products that I have finished over the last couple of months. I am considering making this blog a more permanent thing and doing blogs every other couple of days or weekly, put in the comments what you think and posts you would like to see.
Thanks for reading!

#30DaySnapChallenge-Day 4

Hello everyone,

Today is the 4th July, Independence Day. Even though I am not American some of my family such as my Aunty and Uncle live there so I skyped them- best sort of communication! Even though I did not take a picture of them on skype which would be slightly weird so instead I created an image of the american flag to show my appreciation of Independence Day. Its not that good but here is my Snap Day 4.

Did any of you celebrate this special day? Or did you enjoy the sun seeing as the weather is changing! Apparently going to be up to 25 degrees (gosh a heat wave)
Thanks for reading and I will speak to you tomorrow :)

#30DaySnap- Day 3

Hello Everyone,

Today I have been at school all day and I haven't been out and about so I decided to do something a little bit different. I hope this is not boring for everyone but I have been at my schools induction day for Six Form. Throughout the day we have been told about Six Form and that it is a big step from GCSE- a terrifying thought for me!
But one thing one teacher said to me which I find inspirational is " Do not give up, beginning is always the hardest." Because of this I have decided this is going to be my Snap of the day- its not technically a photo I took but I think it can break the rules.

What was your most inspirational quote, please leave a comment in the box!
I hope everyone had a fantastic day and I will speak to you tomorrow
Bye x

Mini Beauty and Fashion Haul

Hello everyone,

I planned to do a lot more blogs this week, but I have been very busy. So I have decided to do a "Mini Haul" for you guys. I was going to do a video, however I knew that it would take a while.

The other day I decided to take a trip into town and I decided to go into Boots and I picked up a few items. The first item I picked up was the "Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation" even though I love the No7 Foundation, I have heard so many people rave about this product that I had to get it! While looking around the makeup section I spotted the "Collection, Lasting Perfection Ultimate wear concealer". I have never found a concealer that I have liked, so I thought I would pick one up and try it out. Also while I was in Boots I decided to have a look at the face washes because at the moment I am using the "Simple face wash". I love this, but I wanted to try something new so I purchased the " Neutrogena Visibly Clear 2-in-1 wash and mask". I have yet to try this product, but I have amazing reviews and cannot wait to try it out. On to my next product to cut a long story short, my mum had some Lancome vouchers and she said she wasn't going to use them and she said I could have them. With this is mind I nervously went to the Lancome counter ( I have never brought their products) and asked them what products they would recommend. In the end I picked up the "Softening Hydrating Toner". I think this product is absolutely, bloody amazing ( I have used a quarter of a bottle all ready.

Floral Top (Matalan £14), Pyjama Bottoms (Matalan £8), Collection Concealer,
Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation (Boots £8.99), Neurtrogena Face Wash (Boots £3.99),
Lancome Toner (Boots originally £22, got it for £11)
The next shop I went into was Matalan. Now I always go into there and never really find anything I liked but this time I went and tried a few things on and I picked up 2 items.
The first item was a pair of pyjama bottoms and when I saw these I absolutely fell in love because of the cute floral print and pretty lace on the top. I also love the colours of them. They are also made out of 100% cotton so they are perfect for the summer.
The second item was a top. Its a peachy pinky top with a floral print on it and I think its really pretty for the summer ( when the sun decides to come out).

So there is my mini haul, I hope you guys like it. Please leave any suggestions if you think I should do this type of blog post again or do it in a video next time.
I hope you guys are having an amazing weekend and I will speak to you next time!
Bye :)

Weekend Madness

Hello everyone,

To increase the viewings of my blog and its posts, I have decided to create a post that will be continued forever. Its called "Weekend Madness" and will update you with what I have been up to that weekend.

So here is the first of many to come:

It wasn't really the weekend, but a few friends and I decided to take a trip to Looe and have a BBQ, the weather was lush and we had an amazing time.I managed to cook all the food without giving anyone food poisoning, such an achievement. It was that warm that the majority of us came back sunburnt, which was surprising for Plymouth as we usually don't get the nice weather. After a long day, we went back to my friend Katie's house and we camped in her back garden. We ordered the biggest amount of food from Papa Johns I have ever seen in my life, it was so yummy ( it wasn't there for very long).
We had a fantastic time!!

If you would like to carry on seeing this type of blog post again, please feel free to comment below or comment any suggestions.
